PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when a resin covering an outer periphery of a nib covered on the outer periphery of the nib formed by converging fibers via a resin binder in a longitudinal direction with a resin, the fibers of the nib in which the covering resin is released from the resin is loosely separated and in the manufacturing step, the resin is immersed into the fibers to disturb an ink flow or a polishing abrasive is adhered to remarkably lower the polishing efficiency. SOLUTION: The nib made of the fibers comprises the outer periphery in which polyester or acrylic fibers are converged in the longitudinal direction via a resin binder and which are covered with the resin so that the resin for covering the outer periphery is formed of a resin containing a photopolymerizable prepolymer and a photopolymerizable monomer crosslinked and cured with an electromagnetic wave of a short wavelength such as an ultraviolet ray or an electron beam.
