PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly couple an output shaft and a drive shaft of an internal combustion engine with each other which are uncoupled by using a small motor, and to prevent any torque shock during the coupling.
SOLUTION: When a crank shaft of an engine is coupled with the drive shaft by a clutch C2, the engagement control is started so that the engagement force of the clutch C2 is gradually increased after the engine is started (S108). If the engine speed is large than the sum of a threshold α and the number of revolution of the motor fitted to the drive shaft, the power generation torque Tmg is set to a starter motor which can crank the engine, and the torque to suppress the engine speed is output from the starter motor (S112-S122). As a result, the crank shaft can be rapidly coupled with the drive shaft by using a small motor without generating any torque shock.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
