<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disc that has stabilized characteristics showing a constant reflection and modulation in any location on a disc surface. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disc that has a recording layer consisting of an organic dye and metal reflector and is capable of recording and reproducing information by a laser beam, (1) the organic dye contents of the recording layer is made radially uneven on the disc, (2) ratio of the recording layer thickness of grooves and lands is made radially uneven, (3) reflector layer thickness is made radially uneven on the disc, and (4) content ratio of the reflector layer is made radially uneven. Above procedures cancel optical characteristic differences unavoidable on the disc made by using a conventional method material, and it is made possible to obtain the optical characteristics stabilized all over the disc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
