<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively recovering indium in the form of a hydroxide usable for an electrolytic collecting process of the indium by using raw materials containing a large amount of impurities of a low grade, such as waste water sludge containing the indium, the indium with which furnace materials are impregnated, casting scrap and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method of recovering the indium comprises recovering the indium in the form of indium hydroxide selectively on a cathode side by using the indium-containing scrap as an anode and performing an electrolysis using ammonium nitrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
