PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas apparatus and a measuring method for an amount of gas consumption with a function that can easily and conveniently obtain the amount of gas consumption by utilizing a flow control device generally mounted on the gas apparatus. SOLUTION: A CPU 3 receives relative position information between a flow regulating valve 13 and a slide closure 14 from the position detecting part 16 of an encoder 9b and then judges a flow rate based on a position-flow corresponding table provided on a ROM 5 (step S4). An amount of gas consumption is calculated every prescribed time (step S5). In a like manner, an amount of accumulated gas consumption from a start of use is calculated (step S6). An amount of instantaneous gas consumption and the amount of accumulated gas consumption are stored in the predetermined memory of a RAM 4 (step S7). Then the amount of instantaneous gas consumption is displayed on the displaying part 27 of an operation panel 7 (step S8). The CPU 3 judges whether a cock indicates the display of the amount of accumulated gas consumption by operating a change-over switch 27a or not (step S9). When indication is not done, the above operation is repeated (step S13). When indication is done, the amount of accumulated gas consumption is displayed on the displaying part 27 (step S10).
