PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispensing apparatus, having a simple mechanism, capable of detecting a plurality of liquid levels of wells by using a plurality of nozzles. SOLUTION: The dispensing apparatus 1 is constituted so as to implement a nozzle dropping process for dropping a plurality of the nozzles 4 and locating a tip of each nozzle 4 at a first location in each well 9, a liquid level detecting process for detecting contact of the tip of each nozzle 4 at the first location and a liquid sample 91 in each well 9 by a detecting means 6 and a pump- activating process for activating each pump 3, sucking and discharging the liquid sample 91, based on results detected in the liquid level detecting process.
