PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a creep distance and an air clearance in a lighting starter circuit for a xenon lamp used in a strobe of a camera for easily reducing the size of installation on a base board and simplifying a noise countermeasure. SOLUTION: As a transformer giving a trigger voltage to the xenon lamp 1 for starting discharge and activating xenon gas to emit light, an alternating current transformer Ta or a piezoelectric transformer Tp is used.
