CERAMIC RF FILTER HAVING IMPROVED THIRD HARMONIC RESPONSE

A duplexing filter suitable for use in a mobile communication system. The filter has a core of dielectric material with several through holes that define resonators. The core has metallized surfaces except for the top surface. Several metallized resonator pads surround each of the through holes on the top surface. A metallized serpentine region extends from one or more of the resonator pads toward a side surface of the core. The metallized serpentine region causes attentuation of a third harmonic frequency.
