The tubular element (1) is made of a biodegradable material and can be of a any suitable shape, like straight, branched, or bent. A straight version (1) is provided with a centrally positioned surrounding elevation (2) and chamfered outer ends (3, 4). Sleeves (5) are pulled over both ends, meeting at the central elevation (2). Each of the sleeves (5), which are also made of a biodegradable material, is covered by minuscule barbs (6), engaging with the tissue when inserted into a hollow body section like a vessel.
