PURPOSE: A PDA updating system is provided to stably update an OS and a boot loader of a PDA for enhancing a user convenience and a stability. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a ROM with 4 areas. The first area stores a pre boot loader, the second stores a boot loader, the third stores an OS and applications, and the fourth stores system configuration data. The pre boot loader has a function of updating the boot loader by connecting to a PC, and the boot loader has a function of updating the OS and the applications by connecting to a PC. Conventionally, the update program is pasted on the OS area and the function of the OS is lost. But, the system stores the update system at other specific area so that the function of each ROM area can be stably secured.
