PURPOSE: A process for preparing color ink-jet transcription paper is provided to produce the paper compatible with different types of color printer and plotter ink-jet device and to improve color fastness, durability, water-resistance and absorption properties and variability. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises applying a first solution consisting of MEK(40-60%), urethane(20-40%), silicone(1-5%) and isopropyl alcohol(5-15%) as a coating solution; a second solution consisting of hydrophilic urethane(45-50%) as an additive; fiber softening agent(2-5%) as a fixing agent and flavor; quaternary ammonium(5-10%) as ink fixing agent(1); DMF or MEK(20-40%); powdery hot melt(10-25%) as a thermo-setting resin; liquid hot melt(10-25%); isopropyl alcohol(5-15%); and fluorescent dye(0.5-1%) on silicone releasing paper(3).
