PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box whose strength against outside force is improved without using separate cushioning members. SOLUTION: In the packaging box that is provided with side surfaces 1A-1D disposed in communication through the medium of creases b1-b4, forming a rectangular tube, and with lid parts 2A, 2B disposed in communication with the side surfaces 1D, 1B through the medium of creases b5, b7, enclosing the aperture of the rectangular tube, a pair of cut grooves 3A-3D of predetermined length are provided at the side surfaces 1D, 1B to which lid parts 2A, 2B are disposed in communication therewith, the grooves entering from the edges of the side surfaces 1D, 1B to the inside of the side surfaces 1D, 1B in the direction, approximately orthogonal to the creases b5, b7 of the lid parts, with the creases b5, b7 of the lid parts being disposed on the line connecting the pair of cut grooves 3A-3D.
