PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an aromatic-substituted alkyl ester that is more excellent in the production efficiency. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an aromatic-substituted alkyl ester by an oxidative esterification reaction from an alkyl-substituted aromatic compound, an aliphatic carboxylic acid and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst, comprises, after the oxidative esterification reaction, a process of the esterification of an aromatic-substituted alkyl alcohol contained in the reaction liquid with an aliphatic carboxylic acid.
