<p>The aim of the invention is to allow the surface structure of building materials, e.g. wood, stone, etc., to be faithfully reproduced as a low-cost imitation in the area of floor, wall, or ceiling design and on furniture so as to make it possible to interchange decorations in a fast manner and permanently apply characters, letters, or logos on surfaces for advertising purposes. In the most basic embodiment, the inventive advertising or decorative coating is made of a resin layer which is applied on a base (1) as a carrier layer (2). An advertising or decoration carrier (3) which is provided with holes (5) and on which the chosen design or advertising message is printed is arranged on said carrier layer (2). The number of individual layers (carrier layer (2), decoration carrier (3), and protective coating (4)) can randomly be modified, said layers being marked as 2', 3', and 4' in the drawings. The inventive method for producing said advertising or decorative coating comprises the following steps: a resin layer is applied to the base (1) as a carrier layer (2); said carrier layer (2) is then hardened; the advertising and/or decoration carrier (3) is applied to said carrier layer (2); a resin layer is subsequently applied as a protective coating (4) and hardened. The invention applies to advertising technology, furniture manufacturing, and civil engineering.</p> |
