PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever clip for a file. SOLUTION: In accordance with the improvement of the invention for the side wall of a plate 1 and the outside side wall of a bar of the lever clip, the tip ends of two end arms of the pivot arms 5 of the lever clip do not extend beyond the side wall of the plate 1 and the side wall of a press bar 3, so that the tearing of the turned-over sheet of the file is effectively avoided and also the accidental hurting of the hand of an operator is effectively averted.
