PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white polyester film for metal sheet lamination molding which enables manufacture of a can being excellent in moldability, the resistance to heat and a retort, properties of keeping flavor, adhesion of the metal sheet, the resistance to impact and abrasion, hiding properties, beauty and printability. SOLUTION: This white polyester film is a polyester film prepared by laminating a layer (layer A) of copolymer polyester which contains 1.1-7 wt.% of a rutile titanium oxide having an average particle size of 0.1-0.5μm and has a melting point of 210-245°C and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.48-0.80 and a layer (layer B) of copolymer polyester which contains 10-45 wt.% of the rutile titanium oxide having the average particle size of 0.1-0.5μm and has the melting point of 210-245°C and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.46-0.66.
