PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug for inhibiting autoimmune disease development which inhibits the development of autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus. SOLUTION: The drug contains estradiol, which is an estrogen, as an active ingredient, and is administered once immediately after birth before systemic lupus erythematosus is developed. Since the drug does not decrease the expression of an estrogen receptor which is inevitable for maintaining homeostasis, it inhibits genital abnormalities, inhibits and prevents the development of systemic lupus erythematosus after the maturation period, inhibits the progression of systemic lupus erythematosus which has been developed and increases the survival rate.
