PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipase inhibitor and a processed food possessing a lipase inhibitory activity.

SOLUTION: The lipase inhibitor contains at least one substance chosen from the group consisting of a plant sterol and its ester. The processed food possessing a lipase inhibitory activity contains at least one substance chosen from the group consisting of a plant sterol and its ester at a total amount of ≥0.5 wt.% based on a triglyceride component contained in the processed food upon ingestion.
