<p>Homogeneous water-based gelatin solution is prepared, mixed with emulsifier (I) having HLB value > 9, compositions (I) and (II) and solidifying to form porous gelatin spheres with a continuous pore structure. Composition (I) comprises organic solvent and emulsifier (I) having HLB value > 9. and composition (II) comprises organic solvent and emulsifier (II) having HLB value 8. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) preparation of cast, three-dimensional, porous gelatin structure; (2) porous gelatin material; (3) cast, three-dimensional, porous gelatin structure; (4) use of porous gelatin material or structure as carrier for fuel cells, for culture of artificial skin, artificial organs, fatty tissue and blood vessels and as an implant; and (5) method for implanting biocompatible porous gelatin material.</p> |
