PULLEY ASSEMBLY FOR CLUTCHLESS COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A pulley assembly for a clutchless compressor is provided to cut off transmission of power to the compressor if excessive torque occurs in a pulley. CONSTITUTION: A pulley assembly includes a pulley(11) joined to a housing end(15) of a compressor through a bearing(31) to rotate, and having a hollow formed on a center thereof; and a hub assembly(20) including a hub(21) inserted to the hollow of the pulley and joined to a compressor driving axis drawing out of a housing of the compressor, a plurality of leaf springs(22) joined to the pulley with joining members(34) and radially placed with respect to the hub, and a molding part(24) made of synthetic resins and fixing the hub and one ends of the leaf springs by molding so as to cut off transmission of power to the compressor as molded parts of the leaf springs are broken when excessive torque occurs in the pulley due to abnormal working of the compressor. A bearing bore(32) is placed in the pulley to support the bearing, and has at least one protrusion(33) formed on a periphery thereof to reinforce joining with the pulley. Uneven parts(23) are formed on the molded parts of the leaf springs to expand joining area.
