PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system of a hiearchical network configuration wherein data about a request and a response from a plurality of management systems to a system to be managed on a path of a network are transmitted on a relay basis, which can solve a problem that requests and responses of the management systems are overlapped to increase the amount of data to be transmitted on the network and which can suppress the amount of data to be transmitted not only on the same path but also even on a plurality of paths. SOLUTION: In the system, management system titles, path information and so on of an upper layer are used as judging materials to judge data update. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
