PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera capable of obtaining a high advertising effect. SOLUTION: While a finder mask switching member selects the finder size of a full size, prescribed information is composed with image information converted by an image pickup control means by a composition means and while the finder mask switching member selects a finder size for masking a part of a finder, the image information converted by the image pickup control means, the form and mask color of a mask for masking the finder and the prescribed information are composited by the composition means.
