PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a step of removing a rib forming material in an exhaust hole before baking the ribs which enters the exhaust hole, or a step of temporarily closes the exhaust hole before applying a rib forming material from a rib forming step of a back plate for PDP. SOLUTION: At least an electrode, a dielectric body and a rib forming material patterned to a predetermined shape are provided on a glass substrate, and an exhaust hole is formed after baking the rib forming material in a manufacturing method, and the exhaust hole is formed by a method using a drill, or a method using laser.
