PURPOSE:To search a buried tube without requiring large energy by providing two flux gate type magnetic sensors of parallel capable of freely moving and rotating on a horizontal plane and detecting the magnetic field distribution in the horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:Two magnetic sensors 1, 2 are arrayed in parallel with each other at supporting bar 3. Signals oscillated by an oscillator 4 are fed to the sensors 1, 2, and a tuning circuit 5 and an amplifier circuit 6 detect the double frequency wave of the outputs from the sensors 1, 2 so as to measure the magnetic field difference between the sensors 1 and 2. Since the two sensors 1, 2 are arrayed in parallel, the terrestrial magnetism is canceled each other to detect only the megnetic field component in the length direction of the sensors. By measuring the magnetic filed distribution while rotating and moving the sensors not only the position of the buried tube but the direction of the tube may be detected from the horizontal component direction of the magnetic field. |
