PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the production efficiency of a magnetic transfer in a magnetic transfer apparatus without damaging a disk by smoothly and promptly carrying out the release of a slave medium after bringing a master carrier into contact with the slave medium and carrying out the magnetic transfer. SOLUTION: A gas feed hole 140 is formed in the center pin (space forming means) 108b of a holder 108. The center core 111 of the slave medium 2 is fitted into the center pin 108b, and a doughnut-shaped space 132 is formed by the slave medium 2 and the master carrier 3. A nozzle 30 to feed a bas is put on the top part of the center pin 108b, and the gas passes through the gas feed hole 140 and is fed in the space 132. When atmospheric pressure in the space 132 increases, the gas penetrates from a boundary 142 between the slave medium 2 and the master carrier 3, and the release starts from the inside diameter part of the slave medium 2 to the outside.
