By the method, after heating, the emmulsified oil gets in contact with water, and to this mixture a de-emmulsifer is added. The oil, water and overheated steam mixture is settled. wherein part of the aqueous phase is separated, including the soluble salts. The oil-enriched mixture is subjected to primary separation by lamination of the flow. The oil phase, containing small quantities of water is subjected to secondary lamination thus increasing the pure oil concentration in the zone of movement of the laminar flows by an additional recirculation contour, wherein electric frequency coagulation of the residual water occurs. The installation comprises a mixer (1) the outlet of which is connected to the middle zone of a vertical settling tank (2), the upper side part of which is connected by a spillway pipe (3) to a primary separation apparatus (4). The outlet (5) of the oil phase of apparatus (4) is connected by pump units (6), to the lower section (7) of a two-section column (8). In this section at least one profile-filling is fitted, and in the upper part of the upper section (10) pipe connections (11, 12) are mounted, for the discharge of the pure oil to a tank, and for returning part of the pure oil to the lower section (7), respectively, by means of a circulation contour. made of pipe connection (12), pumping unit (13) electric frequency inverter (14) and pipe connection (15). The bottom parts of the vertical tank (2) of the primary separation apparatus (4) and of the two-section column (8) are connected by means of a drainage line (16). 8 claims, 4 figures
