<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a vertical carrying unit for an in-line color image forming device, and to improve the replacement workability. <P>SOLUTION: As for the vertical type in-line color image forming device, a recording sheet is carried by the vertical carrying unit 101 upward in a nearly vertical direction through a transfer belt 15 in the front part of the device main body, and toner images on respective color photoreceptor drums 6 are transferred to the recording sheet P by transfer rollers 8. The insertion part 101a formed in the lower part of the vertical carrying unit 101 is attachably/ detachably inserted into a cap member 102 fixed to the rotary shaft 103 installed on the device main body side, and the unit 101 can be open/closed between the closed position and the full-open position with reference to the image forming device main body, besides, the vertical carrying unit 101 is replaced only by drawing the unit 101 from the cap member 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
