PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield connector in which the number of components can be decreased. SOLUTION: The plug side connector 20 is composed of a base part 22 and a cap part 23 that is openably assembled to this. The base part 22 is constructed of a base part side shell 30 and a base part side housing 60 integrated to this. The base part side shell 30 comprises as one body a bottom plate part 32, 33 (plug side shield part) covering the surrounding of the terminal part of the flat cable 30 and a square tube part 31 (receptacle side shield part) covering the surrounding of the receptacle side terminal fitting 82. Since the shield shell is installed only on one of the plug and the receptacle, the number of components can be decreased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
