PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data communication terminal equipment capable of e- mailing a simple map prepared by an exclusive simple map preparation function to the other party in order to specify and notice a location. SOLUTION: The data communication terminal equipment having a mail transmission function is provided with an LCD (display means) 3 for displaying a map screen, an ROM 2 for storing the display data of a fixed symbol for map preparation, a control board 4 for executing an operation input for map preparation, and an MPU (control means) 1 for preparing a map based on the operation input from the control board. The control means executes its transition to a mode for map preparation based on the operation input from the control board, and makes the display means display a field for map preparation divided into a plurality of arbitrarily selectable blocks, and display the symbol for map preparation stored in an ROM in the selected block, and selects and specifies display contents to prepare a map, and converts the prepared map into image data, and transmits the image data attached to a mail.
