<p>In appts. for shrinking a foil wrapper onto an article, the article is fed on a band conveyor to a wrapping station where a sheet of foil is positioned vertically across the conveyor path, thus, as the article is moved forward the foil is drawn around it, wrapping and sealing bars being provided for closing the end and side seams. A photocell type feeler system is provided at the wrapping station for measuring the length and height of the article for correctly actuating control of the folding and sealing processes. The wrapped article is then conveyed to a shrinkage tunnel.</p> |
