A rolling bearing for a fan motor, wherein inner rings (11) forming ball bearings (7a, 7b) are fixedly fitted, by shrink fitting, onto parts of a rotating shaft (5) at portions where the outer diameters thereof do not vary in axial direction to support the rotating shaft (5) on a motor case (4), a pre-load is added to the ball bearings (7a, 7b) in this state, the inner rings (11) used under the condition that the temperature of the inner rings (11) may reach 130 °C or higher in service is made of a steel having a retained austenite amount of 4 vol.% or less to suppress an increase in the inner diameters of the inner rings due to the decomposition of the retained austenite so as to assure the interference of the inner rings (11) for the rotating shaft (5) is assured, whereby an air conditioner for car formed so as to be manufactured at a low cost, capable of assuring the pre-load even under a high temperature environment, and capable of preventing uncomfortable feeling from providing to occupants can be realized.
