PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heat exchange efficiency of a heat exchanger without increasing the size of equipment. SOLUTION: A first passage P1 and a second passage P2 are formed in a vertical closed type cylindrical shell 61 by disposing a shroud 65 of generally regular tetragonal shape. A plurality of heat transfer tubes 73 are disposed in the shroud 65 to cross the first passage P1, and formed as low fin tubes 92 and 93 and arranged in a lattice shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
