<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the abrasion of a radial lip and a rotating shaft by reducing the maximum contact face pressure of the radial lip in a seal ring. <P>SOLUTION: This seal ring comprises an annular barrel part 4 mounted on an inner periphery of an outer cylinder 1, and the radial lip 6 having a conical face 61 extended in an inner side of the annular barrel body 4 obliquely inwardly in the radial direction, and being brought into face-contact with an outer peripheral face of the rotating shaft 2 with a specific width. A ring-shaped projection 63 for dispersing the pressure applied to a minimum diameter part 61a, is mounted at a basic side with respect to the minimum diameter part 61a of the conical face 61 of the radial lip 6 in a state of projecting inwardly in the radial direction. The contact pressure of the radial lip 6 to the rotating shaft 2 is dispersed to a minimum diameter part 61a side of the conical face 61 and a ring-shaped projection 63 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
