摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical alignment mode liquid crystal display device which has a disclination suppressed by producing an electric field in a specified direction by changing the formation positions of a pixel electrode and a counter electrode. SOLUTION: In the vertical alignment liquid crystal display device including the pixel electrode formed on a lower substrate, the counter electrode formed on an upper electrode and a vertical alignment layer vertically aligning liquid crystal molecules in a liquid crystal layer, the counter electrode is formed vertically overlapping with the pixel electrodes and moved away from the pixel electrodes to the lower substrate or upper substrate in parallel at a fixed interval.
