PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device wherein each metallic constituent part is provided with high corrosion resistance, high heat resistance and high wear resistance as compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: This ignition device 10 is of a type provided with the metallic constituent part having a shape of an electrical connection member 11, and the metallic constituent part having a shape of a metallic tubular casing 13, and a screw thread 18 is formed on the casing 13. At least one of the metallic constituent parts 11, 13 and 18 is at least partially provided with a protective layer made of a zinc-nickel alloy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
