PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a character message on the Internet is provided to execute a character message transmission program on an activated menu window directly by designating wanted information in various kinds of application programs or web pages on a wire terminal as a block and pressing a mouse button. CONSTITUTION: A user who wants to use a service downloads a user program for implementing the service from a program managing system or a web service supply system and installs the program in a wire terminal(202). The user connects to the web service supply system through the wire terminal and reads various kinds of information(204). If the user wants to transmit information through a wireless terminal, the user designates the information, clicks the right button of a mouse, and selects a character message transmission menu on an activated menu window(206). A control unit of the wire terminal outputs a character message transmission window capable of transmitting a character message through an output unit of the wire terminal. At this time, the control unit outputs the information designated by the user on the character message transmission window(208). The user confirms the information, inputs a wireless terminal number on a receiver number space of the character message transmission window, and clicks a transmission button(210). The control unit transmits the character message to the program managing system through a network(212). The program managing system transmits the character message to a character message transmission system(214). The character message transmission system transmits the character message to the wireless terminal(216).
