<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable coloring composition which shows a high transmittance especially regarding green color and provides an excellent color reproducibility, and a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The photocurable coloring composition contains an alkali-soluble resin, a colorant, a photosensitive polymer component, a photoinitiator and a solvent. The composition gives a coating film having a film thickness of ≤2.2 μm and a y value of ≥0.65 in CIE chromaticity coordinate. The colorant comprises a mixture of green and yellow pigments, wherein the green pigment is C.I. Pigment Green 7 and the yellow pigment is C.I. Pigment Yellow 180 and/or C.I.
