SOLUTION: According to the shaft connecting method, a starting shaft 5 and an arrival shaft 7 are constructed in the ground 3, and the shaft 9 is constructed at a midpoint between the starting shaft 5 and the arrival shaft 7. After the construction of the shaft 9, soil mortar 11 is filled in the ground from a lower end of the shaft, and then a shield tunnel 15 is constructed from the side of the starting shaft 5 by a shield machine 13.
