Digital data support (10) comprises a substrate (11), at least one area of which is used to record optical digital data (12) and at least one area (13a, 13b) that is used to identify the support owner. The area used to record the optical digital data is pre-recorded and contains first coded information (15a), said first information being provided to enable the owner to produce an electronic signature which is appended by the owner and which is required for a given operation executed by said owner. The pre-recorded area also contains further information areas (15b-e) for storing data for automatic triggering of a read device, for preventing data duplication, for sequencing the first coded information and for establishing an automatic connection to a central server.
