<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize sheet feeding by placing an endless belt in attractive contact with a sheet in correspondence with the positional height and inclination of loaded sheets. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet feeder for feeding a loaded sheet by attraction using electrostatic force has a belt unit 1 having a rotatable attraction belt 2 and a charging roller 5 for charging an outer circumference of the attraction belt 2, and a belt holding means 6 abutting an inner circumference of the attraction belt 2 with given urging force to hold the tension of the attraction belt 2 constant. The belt unit 1 and the belt holding means 6 are swingable. When the belt unit 1 is swung, the urging force of the belt holding means 6 places the outer circumference of the attraction belt 2 in contact with the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
