PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storing density of coated optical fibers in an optical fiber cable in which a stacked body of coated optical fiber tapes is stored in the groove of a grooved spacer. SOLUTION: One optical fiber tape 7a consisting of seven coated optical fibers is arranged in the center, one optical fiber tape 7b consisting of six coated optical fibers is each adjacently stacked on both outward sides of the fiber tape 7a, and another optical fiber tape 7c consisting of four coated optical fibers is each stacked further on both outward sides of the fiber tapes 7b. Thus, the optical fiber tapes each having the maximum number of coated optical fibers within the area not bulging out of the inscribed circle 8 are stored, which totals 27 coated optical fibers, with the area of space supposedly minimized between the stacked body and the inscribed circle 8.
