PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reforming fuels which is capable of improving the heat efficiency of an engine by increasing the heating value of the fuels through reforming natural gases into reformed fuels by capturing CO<SB>2</SB>contained in an exhaust gas and utilizing it along with the heat energy contained in the exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This apparatus for reforming the fuels is made up of a housing 1 being formed with four inlet-side openings 12 and four outlet-side openings 13, a rotatable vessel 2 being rotatively supported in the housing 1 and interiorly divided into compartments 15 by partition plates 9, metal porous bodies 3 being contained in the compartments 15, exhaust gas pipes 4, steam pipes 5, air pipes 22, wherein those pipes 4, 5 and 22 are respectively connected to one of the inlet-side openings 12 and corresponding one of the outlet-side openings 13, a natural gas pipe 6 connected to one of the inlet-side openings 12 for introducing natural gases, and a reformed fuel pipe 20 connected to one of the outlet-side openings 13 corresponding to the inlet-side opening 12 connected to the natural gas pipe 6 for delivering the reformed fuels.
