PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainproofing detergent for hard surfaces which can be used at home and can impart excellent stainproofness and antisoil redeposition to the hard surfaces of a toilet, a bathroom, a kitchen area and the like. SOLUTION: The stainproofing detergent for hard surfaces comprises (a) a polymer having 10-100 mol%, based on the total monomer units, monomer unit having at least one group to be selected from an amino group and a quaternary ammonium group in the molecule and, simultaneously, a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000.
