PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerable absorbent for removing a diabetic complication factor from the interior of the body of a patient of diabetic complication rapidly without imposing a burden on the patient, and to provide a method for regenerating the absorbent. SOLUTION: The regenerable diabetic complication factor absorbent removes a substance to be absorbed by bringing the substance into contact with an aqueous solution of an electrolyte. The method for using a container for removing a diabetic complication factor comprises selectively removing the diabetic complication factor contained in liquid to be treated as the substance by bringing the liquid derived from a humor into contact with the interior of the diabetic complication factor removing container in which the regenerable diabetic complication factor absorbent is packed.
