GRAFT COPOLYMER AND FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyorganosiloxane-containing graft copolymer applicable as a halogen-free, phosphorus-free flame retardant, and to provide a flame- retardant resin composition excellent in flame retardancy and impact resistance by incorporating the graft copolymer with a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: The polyorganosiloxane-containing graft copolymer, obtained by polymerizing 0.5-10 pts. of a vinyl monomer (B) comprising 100-50% of a polyfunctional monomer (b-1) bearing at least two polymerizable unsaturated bonds in the molecule and 0-50% of other monomers copolymerizable therewith (b-2) and further polymerizing 5-50 pts. of a vinyl monomer (C) in the presence of 40-90 pts. of polyorganosiloxane particles (A), is incorporated with a thermoplastic resin as a flame-retardant.
