PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep shape retention of a longitudinally pleated paper-made container with a continuous wave-formed cross section, make it easy to separate containers one by one from a pile of the containers, and simply and surely put a lid over an opening rim of the container. SOLUTION: The longitudinally pleated paper-made container 5 with a continuous wave-formed cross section is made by folding a sheet of paper 1 to rise together with numerous longitudinal pleats 3 from a periphery of a portion to be a bottom 2 of the container at its center and drawing a container barrel 4. In manufacturing the container 5, a periphery 5A of an opening of the container 5 is evenly spread to rise, and a lateral flange 4A and a longitudinal flange 4B connected with the lateral flange 4A are integrally formed with an upper part of the container barrel 4. The longitudinal flange 4B is evenly folded to fall inward and brought close to or glued to an upper surface of the lateral flange 4A, thereby forming a double lateral flange 4C, and an upper part of the container is reinforced to a degree that it does not deform at random.
