<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device 10 for band-like material, particularly paper band-like material, in the slitter of a machine for cutting the band-like paper 5, particularly for cutting paper in paper processing industries. <P>SOLUTION: This support device 10 comprises at least one of support shafts 11 and at least one of pivotally supporting means 12 and 17 for rotatably supporting the support shafts.
