摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting material for an optical functional part which forms a region for connecting with the optical functional part without damaging it, in a plastic material with which the optical functional part is in contact and realizes the smooth connection of the optical functional part and a method for connecting the optical functional part. SOLUTION: The connecting material for an optical functional part is manufactured with the formation of an inducing structural part connected with the optical functional part by irradiating the plastic material with which the optical functional part is in contact, with a laser beam having a pulse width of 10<SP>-12</SP>sec. or less. The inducing structural part may extend in a parallel or a perpendicular direction with a direction where the laser beam is emitted, inside the plastic material, or may be a conical or a bell-shaped protuberance which is independently formed rising from inside the plastic material or a three-dimensionally formed cavity. In the method for connecting the optical functional part, the region for connecting the optical functional part is formed using the inducting structural part of the connecting material for the optical functional part.
