PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight, simple, and inexpensive canteen, which can cool drinking water and keep it cool without ice put in or being refrigerated in a refrigerator. SOLUTION: A container in a canteen is molded or coated to make it silver- color and covered with a transparent plate or film with a certain space around, so that the drinking water inside is cooled off by releasing heat to outer space by radiational cooling especially in the night. Heat radiation from outside is reflected by the silver surface of the container. Heat transfer from outside is blocked by an air layer between the container and the transparent plate.
