PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of waste which enables enhancement of elution rate of lead component into water at the elution of lead component in the waste into water by mixing the waste containing lead component such as chlorine bypass dust and slurrying water. SOLUTION: This treatment method of waste comprises a slurrying process (A) of preparing slurry by mixing the waste containing lead component and slurrying water, a lead elution process (B) of adjusting pH of the slurry to 7.0-11.5, adjusting oxidation-reduction potential to 400 mV or more and, thereby, obtaining the slurry containing lead component, a solid-liquid separation process (C) of subjecting the slurry containing lead component to solid-liquid separation and obtaining solid component and the filtrate containing lead component and a lead recovering process (D) of adding a sulfurizing agent to the filtrate containing lead component, thereafter, performing solid-liquid separation and obtaining lead sulfide and filtrate. One part of the filtrate obtained in the lead recovering process (D) can be used for the slurrying water in the slurrying process (A). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
